So recently my xbox is not reading any of my disks and no they are not all scratched up and all that
the disks are perfectly fine. It wont read any of my disks, ive tried like 5 different ones with no
scratches and its not reading anything. My xbox will say open tray at dashboard ill open it , close it, it will say reading for like 3 seconds then say
open tray again. Anyone know whats wrong? Is the laser that reads the disks broke or something ?

I have the same problem, what I do is keep tapping or banging on my xbox until it reads. Actually works too.

It might be a broken or dusty disk tray. Try cleaning it with a damp cloth to remove the dust, and then make sure your disk are clean one more time by wiping them with a smooth cloth or cleaning piece. Alternatively, you may try replacing the tray, replacing the laser, contacting Microsoft, unplugging and re-plugging your Xbox, try installing your disk as well from now on.

I hope all that works. -Love GrayWolf

You will most likely have to replace your laser or try to fix it yourself. If you open up the xbox and look at your laser you will see two screws on the laser. If you turn your xbox around so that the back fans are pointing at you then the screw on the right is the one you want to work with. Get a screw driver and slightly turn the screw. Your laser should be re adjusted and work again (at least that's how it worked for me) now if you turn the screw too much then you will break the laser and have to replace it. Now when I mean turn it slightly I mean turn it slightly, if you even turn it too much your laser is destroyed.
