I was thinking about this the other day and this is how I think it should be IMO if they ever did do it.

All 3 Modern Warfare games remastered at 1080p 60FPS.
Bonus game combining the MP of all three games.

Breakdown

Call of Duty 4
Original Campaign & Multiplayer of CoD4 including maps, weapons, perks, kill streaks and its original rank system only.

Modern Warfare 2
Original Campaign, Co-op & Multiplayer of MW2 including maps, weapons, perks, kill streaks and its original rank system only.

Modern Warfare 3
Original Campaign, Co-op & Multiplayer of MW3 including maps, weapons, perks, kill streaks and its original rank system only.

Bonus Game
This combines the the multiplayer maps, weapons, perks and kill streaks from all three games into one.
Any duplicated kill streaks like UAV could just be put into one UAV kill streak and the same for some perks like Stopping Power.
All of the game modes from the three games could be played but any duplicates like TDM could be put into one TDM game mode.
All camos and attachments for the guns could be used without removing any as for example the COD4 gold camo and MW3 gold camo look different.

IMO this is how I would want it as it would benefit all of the people that previously played all three games. Some people would just want to be able to play the original CoD4 multiplayer on its own and some people would just want to play the Bonus combination of all three games. This way every one gets a choice of what game they want play.

I could go into more detail but im just keeping it simple as this is only a reply to the thread. If I had of made this thread then I would have gone into more detail.

I am in love with this idea!!

I'm exactly the same as you - Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 really got me into gaming. If they re-released Call of Duty 4 I would probably buy it again.

I do think that in the future they will remake the games. "When?" is the only question. I could see them doing it for the 10 year anniversary. But it would be more logical for Activision to do something like Halo and release multiple games on one disc.

That would be the greatest adaption ever. I miss MW2, COD 4 and WAW.

I have played Advanced warfare and it looks like they are trying to hard. All the perks and wildcards and boring killstreaks make the game so confusing. I like how Cod 4 , WAW, and MW2 were so simple compared to how complicated the game is now. In MW2, there was only one objective, to get the "Nuke"...lol man did my heart start pumping when I was in the chopperguner or AC 130 on my way to get the NUKE lol those were the days. I really hope they bring all the same type of stuff with simple killstreaks and simple perks.

I wouldn't mind if they bring out a WWII game next year

If you want better graphics on those game, then play them on PC. The only reason that 343 came out with the Anniversary additions is because Halo 1 and 2 are both on the original xbox. That system is almost 15 years old. They mostly brought the games to next gen, because there was a market for it. Call of Duty makes a new game every year. 343/bungie did not. The other main difference is that Halo only got released on the Xbox for the most part. Those games were locked at certain settings. The Call of Duty games, on the other hand were released on console and PC. The PC versions had better graphics, there fore there would be not point in rereleasing CoD games. They already struggle to put out a decent product as it is.
