I really need help, I have a new GT that I would like to transfer to another account. My question is once I change the gamertag from the account it is originally on will it get reserved?

No, the second you change the gamertag on the original account the gamertag is up for grabs from anybody. So be fast when you make the change.

I think one guy recently on a forum site said the tried to change the GT to put on another account and it got reserved, meaning the gamertag was wiped and under microsofts control

Ohhhhhh I read some of the other comments and now I see what you means I no it WILL NOT be reserved anyone can take that gamertag once you change yours so do it fast..

You have to do the swap quickly, if it's considered to be a GT that is worth $ then probably better to write a script to automatically take the GT once it's available.
Once you change your GT anyone can take it.

To keep the same gamertag you would need to be quick to makesure no one else gets it, I suggest signing into xbox with the account that your changing the gamertag to something that isn't the one you want and then on your PC sign into your other account and quickly change it on the account you want the gamertag on.
