I love both games.

AW is innovative to the Call of Duty franchise. I personally think people don't give CoDs past MW2 a chance because those were the CoD's a lot of people grew up with. So clearly bias will be there.

For every complaint I've heard about AW, I actually like the features that are being disputed.

As for Destiny, a great game if you have friends. The DLC will be solid because Bungie is typically good with downloadable content. The leveling is different than CoD. It's based on your gear which can be a new and fun way to level.

Destiny has co-op along with typical matchmaking that involves killing the other team. AW only has matchmaking and the EXO survival mode.

In my opinion COD looks more interesting and a lot more fun, I think either way you'll be happy as destiny does not look bad either.

I would go with Advanced Warfare just because im a Call of Duty guy but you should get both if you can.

Honestly both are amazing! I personally love COD more but either is well worth the purchase!

I would personally go with Destiny. It just keeps getting better and better!
