My macbook 2008 llate aluminum body keeps turning off randomly. I have 5gb of ram installed. 4gb stick and 1gb stick. The 4gb sstick isn't even compatible with my macbook. Is this why it would be turning off randomly? ?

This could have multiple reasons. But I highly doubt the stick has anything to do with it.
Make sure the Fans are clean so te Macbook dosent overheat. It may also be a faulty MB.
