Last build of the year may have 2 more before the new year!

However this one is for me! really excited to try this very cheap CPU with a GTX 970, What are your thought on using these 2 Parts together, seen some results online of the too as long as the CPU is overclocked it help with the bottleneck.

Will post Some screenshots or videos on the performance tomorrow. Awaiting Graphics Card

Before people ask why you would do this, Broadwell is suppose to be released in the first quater of 2015 so got my z97 board might aswell have a working computer until its release...

Broadwell and Skylake Intel Cpu are coming out next year, my next build for myself won't be till 2016 were its going to be a very pricey build hoping to upgrade around when cannonlake it out

Results - just here playing freedom cry

I used a GTX770 with one of those Pentiums overclocked and yeah it didn't get the most out of the 770.

1st quarter or 2015 is January, February or March doubt they will push the broadwell CPU back anymore they were suppose to be out this year so this mighty Pentium CPU has to last only like 3 months or less

The 970 will be bottlenecked by the Pentium by quite a bit.

The threshold is roughly a 770 for the Pentium so it will bring it down quite a bit.

As long as it's only a temporary CPU until you can get a beefy upgrade for the Z97. Let's face it, the Pentium is damn cheap anyway.. It's not going to put a dent in your money.

Yeah its a Brilliant card not going to overclock the GPU cause that would be pointless but the CPU Running at 4.4Ghz

Most new titles should be hitting 25-35fps on ultra or high obviously due to the bottleneck can't expect to be getting 60fps on ultra on example farcry 4 (GTX 970 is a beast for 1080p gaming)

Using ITX motherboard so even when I upgrade to a i5 or i7 there will be no more upgrades I can do to this computer so once I get the new CPU. will be saving money towards next build

The G3258 is going to hold the 970 back. Waiting for Broadwell wasn't great idea since it's not going to be a huge improvement over Haswell anyway.

Bit low of a overclock for a Pentium they seem to do quite well what motherboard and cooler do you have?

I was tempted to also get a Pentium then get a i5 but I got some spare money and went for the i5
