So, if I bought the digital version of the game on a last gen console (360), and a season pass, when I play on my next gen console (XB1), I can technically get the game for free on my next gen, get the season pass to carry over, and still be able to play on my last gen console as well. Is my understanding of this correct? Also, how do I get my DLC on both? And, if I have a hard copy of the game for last gen, this doesn't apply anymore? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out here, I'm a little confused

if you buy the game or season pass digitally for the 360 you can get it for free on the xbox one. if you want to play it on the one but dont know where to install it go to my games & apps and you should see a list of games on the right saying ready to install. this only works if you buy it digitally

So if I bought a card with a code for the season pass, I can't get that on the XB1 for free?

No the season pass also needs to be bought digitally
