Yea he said he'd do an R32. He actually says he plans to give me his soon. The reason he hasn't given it to me is because it's a fast, heavily modified car. Stage 4 Vortech Supercharger, cams, ported and polished, piston and rods, full on supersprint exhaust, lightened flywheel, a second fuel pump and more. It sounds [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] though. I do know it's fast enough to beat a stock gallardo. Right now we're kinda rehabilitating the car. It started to sit as the clutch was slipping and we didn't want the problem to get worse. Eventually after starting to somewhat daily drive it (the honda pilot was starting to junk out and he couldn't afford to repair it) we came home one day and noticed a funny noise being made. My dad assumed it was the pulley, but then soon thought the supercharger was blown after some snooping. It was still driven a bit after that due to necessity (honda was dropping dead when stopping at lights for example), but finally, one day after another bad rainstorm and sitting for awhile, when we came out to move it so we could get the lawnmower and wash the car, the fuel pump didn't prime. Turns out to be the fuse but the fuse blows everytime the car is started. My dad think's water hasn't dried up somewhere and is shorting it. Either way, we got the supercharger off to find out it was a loose pulley and that the belt had jumped. Supercharger = fine. Oh main that was a happy day. We're replacing the oil return hose and the idle pulley (I think, I know we are taking it off tomorrow).

Well it certainly sounds like he knows what he's doing and you have some basic knowledge on the R32s. Not sure if something that quick would be a smart move for a 16 year old, both financially or just logically. Might be better for him to hang onto that for a few years until you get some experience under your belt, but that's just my option. I personally am very bias towards German vehicles. Primarily VW, so an R32 would be a dream for me. Fun to drive, fun to work on, built like a tank. Chat up your dad and see what you two and work out. Hopefully it is something that you're both happy with. Like I said, you dad's R32 might be a bit much for you. Glad to hear the supercharger is fine, good luck with the hose/pulley tomorrow. With any luck that will be the end of your problems.
