Why do you need to use another wire?

Then you must not be using flux. Flux cleans the board of impurities and ensures a solid connection. I would recommend you het flux and the standard 3v3 wire will stick. Plus it will keep points from getting burned when having to move and rearrange them for tuning

Why do you need another wire?
When getting the RGH chip it comes with the correct wires for the job. Gauge and all is correct.

If you are asking so you don't have to buy the wire, then yes you can. You just need the smallest wire you can possibly find and have to bridge every thing over the chip to work properly.
