Title pretty much says it all.

If you are are joining, tell us what branch and MOS you want to do.

If you've ever thought about it, tell us what branch you were thinking about joining!

I'll get started!

I'm joining the U.S. Navy to pursue a career in EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal), I'm already enlisted. I ship out to basic next September. I can't wait! I also thought about joining the Marine Corps to become a machine gunner, but decided not too.

Here is the training that'd I'd have to do to become EOD.

Congrats to you Trident! Hope you have a blast....oh wait...NO! DON'T HAVE A BLAST!!!!

I was thinking about going into the Navy's Nuclear program, but I decided that sitting on a submarine for months at a time would bore the hell out of me.

Seriously though, best of luck to you, and anyone else on here who is going to serve!

That would've been a good idea...but I'm already more than 2/3rds of the way to my Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering with a job lined up if I stay on track!

My dad was in the millitary when I was younger and its probably the main reason why I never wanted that for my kids when I was younger.

My dad passed away when I was younger fighting for our country, and ever since that happened, I never really looked at the military as a viable option for my life as it had already taken so much from me and my family. I have enormous respect for anybody who joins the military, but I just don't want this to happen to my future kids.
