My motherboard is a Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P, the machine has been running absolutely fine and I've just got back from work today and boom I go to turn it on and I get a continuous 3 long beeps! Tried finding what this power on self test failure code means but i can't find anything. Nothing at all has changed about the system it hasnt been moved or touched at all and it has all of a sudden out of the blue stopped working! Video below:

Have you recently inserted new ram into the system?
Open up the computer and reseat the ram, it may have came out of place somehow.
EDIT: If you've got 1 ram stick move it to a different location.
If you have one or more, try booting with only one of the sticks to see if one of the ram sticks are bad.

Nope, nothing at all has changed since I set it up about last December...
This is whats confusing me, it has just completely randomly done this as I got home today. I have reaseated every component and still the same problem. I read something about a CMOS battery or something but I dont know anything about a CMOS battery im not exactly a genius when it comes to these technical issues.

The most common issue with your beeps is ram.
Gotr another pc where you can swap over the ram?

The only RAM at all I have available is some really old DDR2 sticks from an old PC, would DDR2 even be compatible to test?

Have you tried to reseat the ram yet? That beep code seems to point to a RAM issue. Just remove it and plug it back in or try the other socket.

Another thing could be Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
If you have a GPU check it is seated correctly and the power cable is fully inserted. If everything seems fine remove the GPU and test the system using the onboard video if it works reinstall the GPU. If the problem returns then your GPU has possibly died.
