I'm going to start Recording videos via an Elgato HD and editing/rendering the videos in Sony Vegas, I need to know if my current PC would handle all these activities without lagging and stuff or is it worth just building a budget PC.
Specs:
It has a 150GB Internal HDD and a 750GB External HDD, if its fine I'm also going to buy another Monitor.

Not gonna cope with it very well.
It will lag alot so if you can build a new PC.

Ehm it wont be as bad as osme laptops. We have them PC's at school and they cope very good with Solidworks which is a 3D Modelling software. Dont be expecting magnificent rendering times but it will be able to do so.

it should handle it but i can tell you dont know much about pc's since you have a bronze certified power supply i recommend not getting Intel especially if its and i3 you should go with an AMD they are cheap and good

If you're building this PC just for video editing/recording you're going to want more ram. I suggest at least 8 GB of RAM.

1.If its a budget build go with amd
2.If your video editing and such,the more ram the better
3.The pre-render stage is more CPU as the CPU calculates vertices and the like but the GPU has to do the actually output to the screen. I'd say get both. You can get both as mid-range rather than high-end GPU/low-end CPU or vice versa.
If you need a build post in the pc building section stating:
:Your budget
:Your currency
:What programmes you will use
:Estimated lenght of videos
:Preferred website
And whatever else you find necessary to state, we will help you out from there.

You do know that is pretty irrelevant anyway, right? Considering he can simply buy in new and better hardware and upgrade it.
Anyways, onto the topic itself:
If you're relying heavily on video editing you'll want to look into getting more storage space, especially if you plan on keeping a lot of raw videos since they do take up a lot of space. I sometimes find myself using like 100gb in raw footage from one play session, that's with some better compression so I'd highly suggest grabbing another hard drive. Otherwise you can somewhat remedy the issue by rendering out the entire video once you're finished to lower the file size, even then it'll still take up quite a large portion of space.
I recommend that if you have a specific price set and you're looking for better parts then head into the PC Building section of the forums to request a list from some of the more knowledgeable members, this would be your best bet.

Oh, golly, burn it. And you're still using a 1280x1024 monitor, please invest in a 1080p monitor. The build you asked about was around £400-£450, so if you've got the money, get this;

Add another 4GB RAM when you have the money, then add an SSD. Better CPU, better motherboard, better PSU. Case is good, but not great.
