"In its criminal complaint, the FBI claims that by October 2014 the Silk Road 2.0 was processing $8 million in monthly sales. Additionally, the FBI claims that Benthall, using the online name "Defcon," contacted his support staff in September 2014 to inform that an unknown hacker had stolen "all of the Bitcoins" from the marketplace. The FBI investigated the hack and claimed that $1,412,000 in Bitcoin had been stolen."

I read this when i woke up, I saw it comming, but I used sites like agora, (similar site) and also read that it to was shut down. Sucks 2 Suck.

I saw this coming the second it was released.
I don't have any sympathy for the big vendors that the DEA will target.

A game of whack-a-mole worth millions.
The US Government auctioned off the 30,000 bitcoins ($10 million) from the original SilkRoad just a few months ago.

It was taken down almost exactly a year after SR1.

I don't know how these sites last so long, just a quick google search and a download of Tor can get you on any of them. Obviously there's more to it than meets the eye, otherwise the government would have shut these sites down within days of them starting.
