Hello I got some non leaded solder for my birthday today and I've been looking around and people say that leaded solder cracks and isn't good? is that true?

Yes. Always use leaded solder.

IT has its uses, but I don't think that you will have issues with cracking. especially with this application.

Just to clear everything up, the only reason you should use leaded solder is because it has a low melting point, and non leaded has a higher melting point, and you could easily mess up your board with too much heat.

But if you know how to solder really good then non leaded is fine!

Non leaded solder is what caused all the issues with overheating and RLOD,it doesn't allow as much movement as leaded does.
