Lets all be honest its hardly the next generation of gaming just look at the specs its a mid range PC, the gaming industry creates such a hype about the consoles reeling the customers in by the dozen and its ridiculous to think you can get a PC for the same price as either console and it could out perform i wouldn't call it next generation gaming more like "budget gaming" this isn't the only cause of concern the games ohh the games starting at a price of 60 gbp and will remain at that price for a majority of the games lifetime steam on the other hand doesn't care they'll drop prices within the first couple of months

Hard drive space each console "MAXED" out with 500gb which is hardly efficient when each A+++ title is around 40GB the lifespan of next generation gaming is running low in my eyes although you can upgrade but what good is that going to do it will only slow you down bottle necking the console furthermore.

I will no longer allow myself to be ripped of by these corporate masterminds, buying a PC will save you a lot of grief and aggro no restrictions either always upgrade-able.

I am not causing a Console/PC war here i'm simply stating the facts.

When you get a console it will last you 8 years maybe with a HDD upgrade (if needed) plumbed into your TV

A PC Built for gaming will last much less and Your monitor...is just a monitor.

A console is more compact and easier to fit into a lifestyle.

A PC is much bigger and you dont really plonk it next to your TV.

Your weak argument is simply against cost.

Hardcore Gamers are not just PC based anymore, times have changed.

And this is coming from someone with Consoles and a PC

(if youre thumbing me down, atleast have the balls to put why you agree with his OPINION not the "facts" he claims)

I completely agree with you. They try to monetize everything. The PC industry is now where it is at. If you buy a good gaming PC, which is about $200 MORE than the xbox one, then you'll be set for 10 years. There is more roaming on the PC than xbox, and you can even play xbox games and playstation games. I have a laptop that I can currently play playstation games on and it's awesome.

However, people decide to buy the "next" generation console because it is what is fresh. They want to seem better than most people and show that they have money to do it. I mean there are more game titles for PC than there ever will xbox, due to the fact that almost every game released for a console is also released for a PC. You also have other games like World of Warcraft and other titles similar to it, that are NOT available on consoles.

People need to learn when a product is worth it. The only reason they made a new console is to make MORE money. They don't care if it's good or not. Xbox one is basically windows 8 with the xbox 360 in the background. They just updated the firmware and gave it a new look. I am still satisfied about my 360, and will not be upgrading to a one now that I finally sit down and actually think about how bad the one is.

I think I might just ask for a bunch of money, and then just get a PC for my birthday. Preferably a laptop because I like something mobile. Anyways I'm getting mildly off-topic.

That is my opinion.

I'm going to show you why everything you just said is false.

A PC built for gaming can last you just as long as a console as long as you don't do stupid shit and go on porn websites and get viruses and such. A PC is hardly bigger, and you actually can plonk it down next to your TV. You can use your TV as a monitor. PC gamers are very hardcore honestly. They now use controllers instead of the mouse because it's easier.

So a PC I built in 2008 would run Battlefield 4 perfectly??

A PC is hardly bigger
A decent case with a relatively good amount of space is alot bigger than a console.

You can use your TV as a monitor
This is true but I would still prefer a monitor if I was using it for gaming

PC gamers are very hardcore honestly. They now use controllers instead of the mouse because it's easier.
No that is console kids getting PC and not knowing how to use the Keyboard and Mouse

Going back to what he had said in the topic.

Yes, because PC's are always upgradable when consoles are not.

This is my point, surely if the consoles were the money grabbers they would make it so you HAD to upgrade more than a HDD

The specs on the xbox one barely match standards that a computer at Walmart carries.

That is completely true, but again. Where the PC can do things, the xbox can't and vise versa. They all have their pro's and con's but I think the PC definitely outweighs the xbox one, due to the fact that they can do so much more.
