Im in need of a carry around laptop that has enough power to edit images and videos. I also need to be able to use microsoft word and microsoft powerpoint. Another thing is i need good battery life. a typical day is around 9hours long so i need the battery to last when i am using it. Now it wont be out all day, only in certain classes and when im riding the bus. My bus ride is 2hrs by itself. I do game, but only thing i will ever play when not at home is minecraft and lol. Now i do like slimness of the laptops aswell. Well, let me know some suggestions. Thanks!

Retina MacBook Pro is extremely slim, although I hear the Razer one is too. It depends which you'd get the most out of, I find Windows isn't great with power efficiency and I get more battery life with OS X.

Personally I'd get a macbook over a razer laptop as laptops are not meant to be gamed on!

also gaming laptops have awful battery life.

Personally I'd look at some other ultra books they will perform just as good as a macbook but be 25% cheaper

I would go with the macbook just because all gaming laptops have crap battery life. But if you want to game I suggest the razer.

I'm not a huge fan of the Razer laptop line. I would go with a MacBook Pro with Retina display. You will be limited in terms of gaming but you should be fine with everything else.

Strangly enough apart from the OS limitations for gaming, when you do get games that work like Starcraft II etc, then the Intel Iris graphics don't do too badly but no MacBook's aren't really made for gaming.

Honestly this is kinda a dumb question to even ask, the Macbook Pro is 85% for Editing and 15% for general usage while the Razer Blade Pro is 85% for Gaming and 15% for general usage. Basically one is a gaming laptop, and the other is certainly not.
