This is a bunch of modifications to TTG's CSS elements that I did in no particular order. It removes the header and footer, trims some margins and padding, as well as some other tweaks. I made this because the site is very bright and vertical screen space is valuable on my 1366x768 screen.

To do:
    Text input fields
    Google search bar
    Drop-downs
Clean up code because it's a mess

To use this, install the Stylish add-on for your browser and install the script from here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Lots of things won't look right. If you post them here, I might be able to fix things I hadn't thought about myself.

UPDATE #1
Removed glow and instead changed non-gold usernames to default text color (most instances, work in progress).
Shoutbox is now always 650px long. No need to maximize. Maximize buttons hidden.
    Fixed quick reply.

UPDATE #2
    Many minor fixes
Posted to Userstyles.org for ease of use and browser compatibility
Now working on IM and post preview

UPDATE #3
    IM themed and preview fixed
    Misc. fixes

UPDATE #4
Posting buttons kind of fixed. No way to make closed indicator show, but the lack of the quick reply button indicates a closed topic.

UPDATE #5
Misc. changes to Shoutbox UI and width fixed with long messages

UPDATE #6
Switched Solarized base colors to grays + Misc. changes

It's like V5 if you just BELIEVE

Silly Glow indeed.
Quick Reply also does not seem to work for me. (Firefox latest build.)

Going to disable this for now as quick reply is my main reply function (slow af internet), look forward to seeing this be developed though.

It works fine for me while running Firefox 32.0.3 and Windows 8.1.

Working great in FF but no matter what I do I can't get this to work in Chrome. I'll keep trying later.

Edit:
If we could find the "@-moz-document domain("thetechgame.com") " webkit equivalent for chrome it should work, right?

This looking amazing, however I'm not able to get it working in Chrome.

OT: I wish something like this would catch on and various other "themes" would be made for the site.

Chrome doesn't support @document or @-moz-document, so I'm not sure how to make it work.

Also posted this on Userstyles.com because I read that it automatically makes the necessary changes for the script to work in Chrome. Maybe it will work for you.

Pressed the 'Find more styles for this site.' and found it on the link you provided. Installed it and it looks really nice. Good job!

Updated. It also seems like a lot of you don't like the colors, which are solarized dark.

If you're not familiar: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I was suggested dark grey/black. Any ideas?

Not sure how solarized light would look on TTG, but I may spend some time and switch it in just for lols.

I changed a few things on yours, starting with the Sidebar Nav color and opacity (Kept losing it)

Also changed up the shoutbox and forum browsing looks. No cigar though on the Google Custom Search, not sure if that will be possible for me. I'll add some pics once I'm back on the laptop.

But still looks good overall, nice job root.

v5 hype
