What is your budget and currency? 650gbp (Pound sign does not work normally, use GBP abbreviation)
Do you need a monitor? no
Do you need a keyboard? no
Do you need a mouse? no
Do you need an operating system? no
What will you use the PC for? Gaming and small rendering(Video rendering in sony vegas).

Builds for a friend.

Would prefer all the parts from Scan.co.uk

Looking for a good case, was looking at the Fractal design define R4?

Swap the SSD for a smaller capcity one and get a non-modular PSU to save a couple of pounds, then that would leave enough for the S340. That's how I'd go about it anyway.

Am liking the looks of the second build. Wants an SSD really too. I know the caviar blacks are better hard drives but is it worth the extra 10? Also thinking of going with terrabytez Motherboard.

If you wanted to go with an ATX size rig, like Terrabytez suggestion, I would suggest getting a more aesthetically pleasing motherboard like and pick up a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I mean, Look at them side by side.

Id go with the blacks just because I could. I suppose you could go with a cheaper option. If you had an SSD, you wont really notice the difference anyway.

Yeah i have to agree on the fact on how it looks. Not too sure if i should go with you're first build now. The long run it will benefit, and he wants to be able to render and play games at the same time. But i suppose he could make the render use more GPU usage. But yh thats what i thought about the hdd. Anyway thanks a lot for taking you're time to sort them out

This should fit your needs.

Note: You will need to update the motherboard BIOS in order to make the CPU work.
