I was just console banned on my retail and I know this means the console itself and all gamertags can't access xbox live anymore, but does this mean my hard drive is worthless? Can I still use all my DLC, or even erase everything and use it as a new hard drive on a new retail xbox, or will this ban the new xbox as well?

just the xbox... The NAND and serial codes arn't on the HDD and you would have to license transfer everything on the hardrive that wasn't owned by your account
