I don't know alot about computers but my IRL friend switched to PC gaming about 2-3 years ago. he was telling me how great it was everyday, so now i wanna finally build my own custom computer, here are the parts he told me to get with my budget. Also want to know if this is good or if you could even build a better one for the price.

this for a $1000 build, i might even increase my budget to $1500.
i also have a question about the Operating System, i have a laptop thats broken but could i get the Windows 8.1 Pro key off it and use it on this computer?

If you can raise your budget, that would be great.

As for the OS, you can get it for free (we can't tel you how, just google it) and then there are unofficial ways to make it semi official ;)
