MOORE, Okla. - Police say a woman who was killed by a co-worker at a food distribution center in suburban Oklahoma City was beheaded and that witnesses have said the suspect had been trying to convince co-workers to convert to Islam.

Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said Friday that 30-year-old Alton Nolen had been terminated from Vaughan Foods in Moore, where he worked as a production line employee, shortly before the incident took place on Thursday afternoon.

A fired employee who had been trying to convert co-workers to Islam stabbed two female colleagues - beheading one of them - before an off-duty officer shot him, police have said.

Alton Alexander Nolen, 30, was fired from Vaughan Foods, a food distribution center in Moore, Oklahoma on Thursday before returning to his car and smashing it into another vehicle.

He then climbed out and entered the building, attacking the first two people he encountered with a knife, Moore Police Sergeant Jeremy Lewis said.

After beheading Colleen Hufford, 54, and stabbing Traci Johnson, 43, multiple times, Nolen was shot by off-duty officer Mark Vaughan, who was working at the business.

On Friday, Lewis said that Nolen had been trying to convert co-workers to Islam and that local police had contacted the FBI to help investigate the man's background, KFOR reported.

Co-workers said Nolen himself had only just converted to Islam, according to News9. It is not yet known if his beliefs played a role in the attack.

When are they going to realize that beheading people only makes us more angry at them, and doesn't help their cause in any way whatsoever?
"I know guys, let's demonstrate how all loving our God is by beheading people."
For the few people who do disagree with the bombing of ISIS [I know this isn't directly related but they've been doing it too,] they're making it incredibly easy for us to just say, 'Screw it, blow them all to Hell.'

I realize they've said it isn't known if his beliefs were the motivation for the attack, but it's a pretty huge coincidence if they weren't.

Islam it self is fairly peaceful but there are a few who radicalize it and go all out, You can basically find that the WBC Is basicallly a mirror of this.

There have been numerous books and papers published on the problem of religious language and it's role in converting people, most notably by George Orwell, he used his theory of political and religious language being a 'virus' in his book Nineteen Eighty-Four which was wildly successful.

Philologist, Max Muller, has also put forward the point that language probably started out as a very concrete thing, it would have been mostly nouns, given to things which could be seen, heard, and touched.
Then you have the mythologising of language, putting metaphysical phenomena nouns alongside concrete nouns, it almost puts them on the same footing in reality.
He says that this is probably why over the past 50,000 years or so we have mostly believed in unnatural explanations for natural things.

It seems that this notion hasn't died out completely, it's also not very hard to convince people of something which is wrong, if you use the right language and omit the right information.
