My current PC specs are as follows:
CoolerMaster K350 Mid ATX

Coolermaster Elite 500W PSU (Heard some bad things about this)

Gigabyte GTX 650Ti OC 1GB/GDDR5

Asrock 980de3/u3s3 mobo

AMD 8320 8-core CPU @3.5Ghz

CM TX3 CPU cooler

Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM

My peripherals are all good and I wouldn't want to upgrade them in the near future.

So, I want to know what you people reccomend I upgrade first? (im thinking the PSU due to hearing it can damage components and that it provides insufficient power too)
I am not a huge spender, hence the low budget build, but if a part i need to upgrade is crucial then i can spare the extra cash.

thanks d00ds

If it does everything you want, I'd upgrade your monitor or peripherals first. You're not going to be pulling that much power with a 650 Ti, so the PSU should not be an issue. If you don't have an SSD, that would also be at the top of my list.

This ^^^

With a budget like that you're not going to be getting the latest and greatest so that's what I'd do...

Its currently doing the job, only because when playing games like bf4 I lower my settings to low. That way I get more or less 60fps constantly, I'd like to be able to run higher settings on future games too. Not sure if my current psu could support something like an R9 270X, because that's what I'm thinking about stepping my GPU up to..

I also dont have an SSD, i've always been unsure on the idea as how i'd go about installing one, hope I wouldn't have to format my current HDD xD

You can shrink and clone your current install, but the process can be pretty arduous and I find it's much easier to install a clean OS to the SSD and leave the install on the mechanical drive intact. You can choose which install to use at boot and you can access all the files on the old install from the new one.
