Wasn't sure where to post, either Sports forum, or here, so posted in both, as it relates to both.

So,

Some sad news,

A Ugandan football player and Chelsea fan, 'Fahad Musanan', died after Frank Lampard scored the goal which gave the 1-1 draw to Man City

Ugandan footballer, Fahad Musana, who played for army team Simba FC, is believed to have suffered heart failure while watching Manchester City play Chelsea on Sunday.
The player was watching the game at a video hall in Bombo Town, but according to reports in the Guardian, he collapsed following Frank Lampards equaliser for City, which came five minutes from time.
His coach Fred Kajoba was left in shock by the events, telling reporters: He even trained with us in the morning of the fateful incident and completed the session well.
A team-mate Gerald Bagoole added: We trained with him on Sunday morning, had lunch together. When the Premier League matches commenced, he went to watch from near his residence. He has been a passionate fan of Chelsea and would do anything for the club, apart from gambling.
Lampard, 36, who played for Chelsea between 2001 and earlier this year, is the clubs all-time leading goal scorer, having found the net on 211 occasions during his 648-game career at Stamford Bridge.
The former England international joined MLS franchine New York City this summer, but was then loaned to partner club Manchester City to retain his fitness ahead of the American league season.
He then came off the substitute bench to dramatic effect on Sunday, cancelling out Andre Schurrles opener at the Etihad.

Really sad news :c

Can I ask, how is some random football fan having a heart attack breaking news?

That's funny because this is the "World News" Forum it doesn't have to be breaking news.

Very sad indeed I remember seeing something about a Liverpool fan that suffered a similar fate when Gerrard slipped (I think it was that anyway) and I've read about things like this happening before.

I'm sure that there are other factors at play but it is still very sad to hear about things like this.

Even as World News this is pretty weak.
People die all day, every day. The only reason anyone cares about this is because they've tied a famous person's name to it.
I don't really care about this, and I think if people are honest with themselves, they don't either.

When Paul Walker died, the news was in a frenzy. A few days later, someone made a post about the passenger who also died, saying RIP, and all that jazz.
That topic was closed almost instantly, saying that people die all the time and because he wasn't famous it didn't constitute world news.

If a famous person's name isn't tied to a death, nobody really cares unless they know them personally.
You care in a 'Aww that's sad.' way, but after you click off the post or the news story, they don't enter your mind until someone else brings it up.

If you're reading this and you think you genuinely care, what's the deceased person's name?

Hmm...
