Okay, so obviously UK and USA a schools are really different, for example for our school years its called years and not grades.
I'm confused about grades, like in UK you start high school at age 11, what age do you start at USA.
IM IN YEAR 11 right now at school what grade would that be in USA (age group is 15-16) for that.
Also what age do you leave high school in USA you leave here at 15 or 16,
When people say they graduated high school does that mean if you don't fpgradute it you have to re do the whole grade again or?
Sorry if this confused anyone
Thanks.

I was also wondering the same. A simple Google search brought this up which has made it clearer for me.

In Ireland it works like this

Primary School (Junior)
Junior Infants 4/5
Senior Infants 5/6
First Class 6/7
Second Class 7/8

Primary School (Senior)
Third Class 8/9
Fourth Class 9/10
Fifth Class 10/11
Sixth Class 11/12

Secondary School (Junior Cycle)
1st Year 12/13
2nd Year 13/14
3rd Year 14/15

Transition year 15/16
(You do more practical things, you're able to skip this year.

Secondary School (Senior Cycle)
5th Year 15/16/17
6th Year 16/17/18

I'm currently in 6th year.

You start high school when you are in 9th grade here in the U.S (when you are 14 or 13)

You start officially going to school in kindergarten (5 I think?)

After kindergarten you start 1st grade and go to 12th grade (7 to 18?)

I'm in year 13 here. I guess that's 12th grade.
I'm also curious as to the difference in learning and what you learn.
I'm taking AS maths (math ), which mostly consists of calculus etc... If anyone in that grade could tell me what kind of maths you learn at the same age? I'm really curious
