Farming
"The act of accumulating currency or items by constantly killing a mob or repeatedly performing a series of actions."

Farming is all about the grind. If you want to achieve the best gear in a timely manner with minimal effort and luck this is for you. You will be camping a certain spot within the world of Destiny and continually killing the same things over and over until you acquire as much glimmer as you want or as many engrams as you want. You can also farm for materials.

Farming For Gear Upgrade Materials
There are three main ways to farm for materials that will be used to upgrade your gear.

Method One
Opening loot crates around the world. This method is by far the worst method because it is nothing but luck. These crates can give you armor, weapons, glimmer and materials. The reason this is a method is because the most commonly received items are glimmer and materials but it is not guaranteed.

Method Two
Picking the raw materials around the planets. Depending on what planet you are on you will receive different things. For example when on Earth you will find spinmetal plants around the planet.

Method Three
Buying items and dismantling them. This method requires you to have quite a bit of glimmer saved up but it very useful. You will buy items and destroy them and in return receive materials such as weapon parts and sapphire wire.

Farming For Engrams
There are four main ways to farm for engrams to help your character level up or just to acquire better gear to help you in missions / PVP

Method One
This method isn't actually farming but can still be effective and fun in groups. What you want to do is run through the strikes in the strike playlist (Need to be level 18+). This method generally guarantees and engram or two but it not always the fastest and can get very frustrating when you die.

Method Two
Farming the Nexus! Basically what you want to do is join into the Nexus Strike on Venus and get to the part where there a ton of Goblins. Once here you want to kill them then jump off the edge so you can respawn right there and continually kill them over and over again. This method is best done with a team.

Method Three
Farming the Moon! What you want to do is start the Level 6 Story on the Moon called The Darkness Beyond and play through the mission until you get to the cutscene. Once here you will begin the farming. You will kill all the mobs that come through the door except for the Knight. If you kill the Knight it will update your objective and ruin the farming. After you kill everything but the Knight you will let him kill you so you can start right back up at that part and continue farming.

Method Four
Farming the Moon Again! This time you are going to start up The Sword Of Crota and get to the part where you pick up the sword. Once you acquire the sword you will kill everything and two of the princes. After killing the second prince let the third one kill you. You will then respawn at the start and will repeat the steps.

Method Five
PATCHEDFarming the Earth! For this you will want to go to the Patrol mission on Earth. Once here you will want to head over to the 2nd side of the map past the crashed planes until you get to the area with the cave. When you are here you will want to sit back on the rocks and continually spawn trap the Hive mobs that spawn in the cave. If any manage to escape and you are not getting spawns you will need to kill the rest of the mobs on the top of the hill and to the right side bottom of the hill.
OR
You can use the steps above but this time use a Pike. In order to get a Pike you will need to go to the right when you are heading over to the 2nd part of the map. Once here wait around until you see a bunch of Fallen driving around. Kill them and hop onto the Pike. Then run over to the cave and you can keep the trigger pressed down while on the pike and practically AFK for as long as you want. (If this is confusing see the second video I added to the post.)

Method Six
Farming on Mars! This is considered a new loot cave since the latest patch. In order to do this method you are going to want to go to patrol on mars. Once you are on the patrol you are going to go straight forward to the first "camp". Here there will be Vex and Cabal fighting each other. What you want to do is kill all the Cabal and the Vex. In the middle of the area there is a rock. You are going to go onto the rock and jump off towards the cave in front. The Vex will spawn here and you will want to kill them. After that the Cabal will spawn and you will kill them. Then you need to repeat the steps.

Method Seven
Farming on Earth again. For this you will want to go to patrol on Earth. Once you are here start heading right all the way until you get to the rocket yard [Where the strike starts]. Once you are here you will want to kill the enemies within the area that has the two spawn points where the Hive and Fallen are fighting. After that you want to jump up on top of the area that has stairs leading up to it. Once you are here it will block the Hive spawns. If you look ahead from that spot you will be able to see the Fallen spawning in a room in the far back. From here you kill them as they run out. It should not be hard to kill them since they are running towards you.

Method Eight
Farming the Earth once again. For this method you are going to want to return to the rocket yard into the same area as method seven. You will kill all the enemies and this time go towards the Fallen side. It will block them from spawning. Then the hive will come from their door and you can farm them. It is fairly close range so it is good for leveling auto rifles.

Method Nine
Another Earth farming method. Go to patrol and return to the rocket yard but this time stay at the entrance. You are going to jump onto the top of the first red box. Once on top kill the enemies to the left and in front/right. After that the enemies that were on the left will spawn and start coming out those doors. Kill them then look at where the other enemies were. They will start spawning. Kill them and repeat the process.

Farming Glimmer
Glimmer farming is extremely easy and is kind of done without notice.

Method One
Open up loot crates around the different planets.

Method Two
While farming for engrams enable one of your consumables that give you glimmer for kills. This will kill two birds with one stone. You get glimmer and engrams

Dismantling items that you pick up or don't use anymore.

Bounties
These bounties are all PVE and can be acquired from the Bounty Tracker at the tower

Fallen Leaders
For this bounty you need to kill 10 Fallen Majors or Ultras
This is extremely easy it is just like farming you do not need to complete any missions or strikes. What you need to do is go to Venus on a patrol mission. Then hop onto your sparrow and ride left from the start until you are in an enclosed area that has a few caves. Once there jump or walk to the top of the hill. There you will encounter a Fallen Captan with a yellow health bar. Kill him and his minions then run to the cave on the opposite side and face away from them. When you turn around they will spawn again at the first cave on the top of the hill. Repeat until the bounty is done.

Hive Leaders
For this bounty you need to kill 10 Hive Majors or Ultras
This is extremely easy as well and just like farming. You will not need to do any strikes or missions for these kills. Just pick Patrol on the Earth. Once you did this ride your sparrow to the left until there is a tiny building with stairs and a few Fallen mobs outside to the right. Once here go down the stairs and turn right into the darkness. Keep walking forward until a room where three Hive Majors or Ultras spawn. Kill them and run back up the stairs and wait a few seconds. Then run back down there and repeat the process until the bounty is done.

Overcharged
For this bounty you need to kill 2 enemies with a single fusion rifle shot 20 times
This bounty is easily done because it can be done farming. It is in the same place as the moon farming spot where you awaken the hive. Start the mission on the moon called The Darkness Beyond. Play through the mission until you arrive at the cutscene. Once here use your fusion rifle on all the mobs that come running out. You will get about 4-5 double kills per life. Make sure to save the knight so he can kill you and you can complete the process again and again until the bounty is done.
