I am thinking about getting this as my new monitor. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I have heard good things about this monitor and for the price, it looks great value.

I play both PC and Xbox One. Is there any reason why this would not work if I connected my xbox one via HDMI?

Thanks.

Well, for one, the qnix and x-star monitors only have one input.

For "two", that input only accepts dual link dvi.

So it'll be nothing but a hassle to switch cables unless you get an hdmi switcherino device, alongside an active hdmi to dual link dvi adapter.

Also, the xbox can't display at 1440p, so you'll be limited a practical use only on the pc.

did you read the description in the link I posted?

The monitor claims to come with a dvi and a hdmi.

I am aware the xbox will only be able to output 1080p to it but I was just making sure that it would still work alright with the hdmi.

Well 1080p on a 1440p panel will look ridiculous., but yes i can't see a reason why it can't downscale.

If you want advice. Get a 1080p monitor for your Xbox and a QNIX for your PC.

PS: The QX2710 has HDMI, DVI-D, VGA and DisplayPort.

It will look just fine and be like a very nice 27" 1080p (or whatever the console actually outputs) monitor. The "Evolution II" model has more features like multiple inputs and speakers. $330 is a good price.

I personally wouldn't buy because of the AHVA panel. Is still pretty good for the price.

Whats wrong with the AHVA panel? The speed seems pretty decent and you get the nice viewing angles.
