The Steppes to Dock 13

Pick up this first Gold Chests by playing the mission Restoration. When you arrive on Earth, head right and then go inside the building you can see ahead of you. You'll find the chest on a desk in the next room along. Unfortunately this was the easiest to track down.

Forgotten Shore

Go to the Terrestrial Complex located at the bottom of the cliff in Forgotten Shore. If you've already grabbed the first chest in our round-up, you'll find this second one by heading west along the river, sticking close to the coast.

Forgotten Shore to Mothyards

Go along the path that leads from the Forgotten Shore to the Mothyards. As you make your way along this path, go inside the cave on your right and interact with the chest.

Lunar Complex

The penultimate chest in this region can be found in the area where you fight the Hive Wizard from The Dark Within. Get up and over the crates on your left to find it.

The Devil's Lair

You'll need to participating in the Devil's Lair Strike to find the last of Earth's Gold Chests. You'll find it underneath the right-hand platform during or just after the fight with the Sepiks Prime.

Shattered Coast to Ishtar Academy

Grab the first Gold Chest on Venus by falling through a hole in the Shattered Coast. Head towards the Ishtar Academy but turn around when you come to a bend. Look back in the direction you came from and you'll find the chest by a pillar.

Campus 9

When you enter Campus 9 via Walking Ruins you'll see a building by a waterfall. Head to the other side of it to find the next Gold Chest.

N/Gen Branch

The third chest can be found just after you enter N/Gen Branch from Ishtar Commons. Go right, then enter the building with a load of cubicles inside. Rummage around in here and you'll soon track down the Gold Chest.

Winter's Lair

Keep going along the trail outside the big cave until you come to an overlook. Head out and then jump over to reach the Gold Chest on the right-hand ledge.

The Cinders

The final Venus chest can be found by fighting until you're on the Ketch ship. At the far end from where you are, get onto the ledge that's just below your position to get your hands on the next piece of loot.

The Barrens

You'll find the first chest by the Cabal outpost near Scablands. Reach this area via the Barrens landing area, then look on top of the crates.

Barrens to Hollows

You can track down the second Gold Chest by heading through the tunnel to the Hollows via the Barrens. There's an opening just before you reach downtown - jump down into it to find the chest on your right.

Dust Palace

The third Gold Chest can be acquired by participating in the Dust Palace Strike. Look for a door marked with the number three, then look behind the desk that's on the other side of it.

Iron Line: Legions Keep
Make your way towards the gate that leads to Legion's Keep. Go along the left-hand walkway, then jump over and onto the pipes in the corner. Now look around, jump up to the walkway on your left and travel along it to reach the chest.

Tharsis Junction

The very last Gold Chest can be found in the Tharsis Junction subway. Find the Vex gate behind the train, then go inside the small room and out through the fence in the corner. Follow the path you come to until you reach the chest.

Temple of Crota

The first of the Moon's Gold Chests can be found by going inside the temple and getting on the ground floor. Go through the door on your right and enter the Hive Temple. Go over the bridge towards the ship, then carry on towards the end of the ramp. The chest is further down and on your right.

Archer's Line to Hellmouth

The second chest can be found on this route. Keep an eye out for a chunk of rocks on your left just before you come to a bridge. Explore the rear side of it to find what you're looking for.

Archer's Line to Hall of Wisdom

The next chest can be found by ascending the hill that's just over from where you start out in Archer's Line. Go through the dome, head towards the Hive Fortress, go down the ramp at the bottom of the cave, then interact with the chest on your right.

The World's Grave

You can get the fourth chest by participating in The World's Grave event. In the last room, enter the water and then look for the chest along the rugged wall.

The Summoning Pit

The final chest can be looted during The Summoning Pit. Get onto the lowest platform, then look between the two sets of stairs to find the Gold Chest.

Rocketyard

For this method, you need to start exploration mode and travel to the Rocketyard where you will encounter hive knights on the twisted path. Since enemies like knights have a higher chance to drop Engrams upon death, this is a good farming location.
There are about four hive knights in this area, and you need to keep on going back and forth to earn Engrams. Using this method, you will earn about 10 Engrams in merely an hour or so.
This is not all! Aside from farming Engrams, you will also level up quite fast than normal which is actually pretty good.
Shrine Of Oryx

To do this method, I would recommend that you be at least around level 12 or above. To get started, open up the Moon and start Shrine of Oryx mission with a level modifier of 12.
Tip: I would not recommend going for higher levels than level 12 because it is pretty useless.
Anyway, keep on progressing through the mission as normal until you reach the large tunnel. After coming out of the tunnel, you will see about eight of the hallowed acolytes and some dregs in the area
It is fine to go past the dregs and keep your entire focus on the hallowed acolytes. Kill all these acolytes and jump off the nearest cliff to kill your guardian.
Killing your guardian will make you spawn at the most-recent spawn location so you can keep on repeating this process.
This method will not only provide you with Engrams [both green and blue], but you will also acquire a good amount of Glimmer.
Also, dont forget to take up Black Wax Idol's which will increase the amount of Glimmer significantly. The more glimmer the More Engrams you can buy.
Patrol Cosmodrome

As you spawn in go to the left a little bit and there will be three enemies right before u go down into a tunnel. Kill them and then go up the hill just a little bit. Kill the enemies by the crash site. Then go back where u just killed the last three enemies before this and there is a little cave they will spawn every 6 seconds. Not the hardest thing to do but does take some time to get it down.

Nexus Strike Mission

Nexus Strike Mission Guide First off, you need to be level 14 to complete this method. Head over to dark cave where you will encounter Servitors and Minotaurs. At this point, you need to kill all the goblins in the area.
After clearing out the area, jump off the nearby cliff and you will spawn at the most-recent checkpoint.
Keep on repeating this process, and you will get a ton of Engrams in no time. These goblins not only drop green and blue Engrams, but also legendary items that are pretty insane.

Best ATM
The best suited Engram Farming, Legendary and Rare Run location is Venus during The Nexus Strike Mission. After you pass three Servitors and Minotaurs go to the dark cave. Goblins are perfect for this kind of farming. Higher level random Strike missions on this map do not increase the likelihood of better drops.
