Went to tower after a online match and seen that 'Agent of the Nine' guy he sells a the exotic stuff and yellow armour which I'm guessing is better then the vanguard armour? But you need strange coins to but his stuff where do you get them haha :p?

Strange Coins are a form of currency used to purchase items from Xr, Agent of the Nine, who only appears on weekends.
One coin can be obtained by completing a Public Event.
Rarely, a coin can be obtained when decrypting Decoherent and Legendary engrams.
Rarely, a coin can be obtained as a reward for finishing a mission.
Rarely, a coin can be obtained inside of a chest
Rarely, a coin can be obtained as a crucible match reward.
Three coins are obtained by completing a weekly Heroic Strike mission.
One coin can be obtained by completing a Public Event.

Weekly heroic mission will appear on the left side of your orbit menu.
They appear once you're level 20; it has a soft level cap of 20 and then you aim to collect 'light' armor which will increase your rank. The heroic missions will increase your chances of finding these rare items.
