I walk from room to room with my laptop, so I find that useful, but I don't game on it, I guess if I was a PC gamer I'd prefer a desktop because obviously you can't get as much in a laptop

Desktops fo' sho'. No need for portability with a PC, well, not for me anyway. I have a cheap laptop for when I travel so i can use the interwebz and come on here. For social networking, I use my phone and for gaming, I use my desktop.

I think the only time a laptop would truly be beneficial is if you travel a lot or need it for school purposes.

My laptops quite quick soo. and my desktop is even quicker but my laptop is perfect its light,Portable and its just nicer to user with the touchpad and the way you can sit it on your lap and all the other wonderful features;)
My PC: 8/10
My Laptop 10/10
So i'm a more Laptop fan than PC/Desktop tbh
Laptop: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and i only payed 400 for it as my mates mum upgraded and needed money fast
Computor: Cheaply customed: 550 GBP

The first thing I think of with a laptop is the annoying trackpad (gestures/movement), and less performance.

However, I guess they're much more practical for people who commute on a daily basis, and need to have work available on the go.

Personally I've always preferred desktops, but as i'll be going to uni in the next year, i'm considering getting a laptop and using a mouse with it.
