I have Destiny pre-loaded on my Xbox One and I'm wondering if I can play in the morning on September 8th.
I found this on the internet and it says I can: Assuming no launch snafus (and to be fair, thats a bold assumption), the games servers should be accessible in the United States as early as 8 a.m. ET on September 8. Thats no typo: according to that tweet, Destiny, according to the temporal logistics of the International Date Line (which passes through the Pacific Ocean), should be playable in the U.S. by early Monday, September 8.
Thats assuming you have a playable copy of the game, of course. It sounds like youll need a retail copy for the privilege: Both Sony and Microsoft list their respective digital versions of Destiny as being playable starting midnight PST, or at 3:01 a.m. ET on September 9.

I also found an update saying that Microsoft confirmed that Destiny will be available at 12:01 ET. Do you think Microsoft will let us in the USA play on the 8th?

i saw a post on reddit that to play early you would need to switch your locale to australia.

If you pre-ordered the digital version of Destiny it says on the page where you buy it that the game won't be playable until 12:01 AM PDT or 3:01 AM EDT on the release date which is tonight.
Microsoft isn't going to let us have access to the digital version until then.
