I want to know how you can fry a card? Maybe a fan was faulty

The Sapphire Dual x 270x is a nice mid-range GPU. You cant get better for your price.

Yeah, think the fan was faulty. When I took it to a repair shop the guy me a lecture of how 2GB memory was too much for a smaller card. I'm not sure he seemed clueless. And yeah the card was great. I was thinking about getting an EVGA GTX 750 Ti. Would the Sapphire R9 270X be better?

270X is much better than the 750ti

And 2GB too much. Pfft. I say its the minimum for a decent GPU for gaming. Watchdogs uses 3.5GB but that's so un-optimised. Well, it was when I was playing it.

One I bought 2 weeks ago was also faulty, I shipped it back to new egg, and just bought one off of amazon. Same maker and card (MSI r9 270x) This time it was a good card and has worked great. So I would give it a second chance.

**** me that's hillarious.

Hate stupid techs, are you sure the card was 'fried' or do you have a feeling it could be the techs way of saying he doesn't know what was wrong?

Also for 130 you are really close to the gtx 760/ r9 280.

The cheapest 760 is 170 quid which is 40 pound over the OP budget which dont seem a lot but it actually is. Especially on a tight budget
