I'm going to buy windows, gaming on Ubuntu is too limited. So what windows is better for gaming? I prefer the Windows 7 style, I think Win8 is too packed. But i assume Win8 is more future proof. And if you can, could someone link me the cheapest place to get Windows. Thank you

Personally i have to agree with him

it is quite hard to get used to if you are used to old windows eg windows 7

but all in all it is really good!!!!

Dual boot W7/W8, spend as much time as you can getting used to win8, only using it when absolutely necessary.

Windows 8.1 is actually damn good. I have been using it for a while now and it has not let me down. It is extremely fast and looks pretty good.

There are always questionable places to go to get Windows 8.1.

It comes down To personal Preference. Statistically, Windows 8 is better. Get whichever one you want to get. You can get them Both for free anyway.

I suggest windows 8, idk why everybody hates on it, boot time is really fast and you can easily go to the desktop mode just like in windows 7. I have never ran into a serious problem when installing new games. Only problem I ran into was with gta iv and I got that fixed in less then 5minutes.
