well to be fair, this happens sometimes.
I was once banned from battlefield 3 servers because I had corrupt admins hosting boosting lobbies when I wasn't on and EA?DICE pointed the finger at me.
Not everyone who gets into modded lobbies is a modder. You can accidental join a modded lobby...
If I mod a game I know the consequences. You have to be cautious with what you do.

I agree, when you get modded up, and you want it to happen. You are basically signing your self up for the ban list.
I myself have been lucky to never have been banned in any game I modded in. Actually surprised I haven't got permabanned.
I've modded CoD4, WaW, MW2, Ghosts, GTA, tons of games and I have never been banned, not even for a week.

I truly don't understand either. You take the change of getting banned when you mod. I do iSO mods for WaW and GTA V. I realize the risk of getting banned. I still do it though.

NBC wrote It's just their natural defense. Why do you see kids posting on the xbox forums "I have been banned for no reason" and then you go look at their friends list it turns out being like R34L M0DD3R 420 BL4Z3
Or you look at their recent posts and you'll see something along the lines of this.

or people who participate in the modded lobbies and complain why they got banned and they say they didnt do anything wrong but you go and look at their recent posts and it says otherwise. Its pretty annoying
