justeve wrote The reason people buy is less hassle decent support.
Researching the hardware to build a good Pc can take days.
This way you pay more and get less than what you could get if you built it yourself, without the headache when it goes wrong.

Alienware's customer support is terrible. They refused to replace a friend of a friends DOA X51.

Lazy rich kids who rather buy a compute then build one, I don't see why people also hating on Macs in here love those computers for editing.

Its easier to buy a gaming laptop then build one,
Its just a easy way to get one,
Preferably i would much rather build one.

People buy Alienwares because they're ill informed and think they're the best. You're paying for the case and LEDs and that is it with an Alienware, but people get it into their minds that they're the best PCs going

PCMasteer wrote They are getting ripped off like a 900 or a 800 dollar laptop with rubbish specs with that money could get a gaming pc much better than a gaming laptop they have rubbish onboard graphics pcs can run more stuff and more appicatons at a time but like 350 dollar 250 dollar laptops are fine.

Only reason why I would ever consider Alienware is the fact that they have financing, but all their items are very overpriced. I bought a gaming laptop that had a better cpu and gpu from cyberpower and saved a lot of money. I guess Dell is just good at advertising and appealing to those who are not that knowledgeable when it comes to computers.

because people are to naive to understand that they are paying for the name & brand, not for the quality.
