Basically i was talking to my GrandParents and we somehow came onto the Topic of People breaking into peoples houses and then they said if someone has forced themself onto your property if you Injure them you will face a worse consequence than the Trouble Maker
I can see this as a major flaw because this could enforce people to break into peoples houses and people who are Single Parents who have children would get very scared and all they would want to do is protect their children!
In my Own opinion if i found someone Break into my house i would attack them as they pose a threat to the Siblings in my house but this rule just makes me think one break in could ruin my life and get me a Criminal Record

Leave your Opinion Below?

It's like that but in some places if they are armed then you are allowed to shoot to kill. It's stupid but half the time it doesn't stick in court.

Yeah, unless it is ridiculously serious, like he has a gun to your head, "Self Defence" just doesn't hold up in British courts for some reason, Our whole "justice system" is completely backwards.

That's not a law.

There's a law which means you have to use reasonable force.

They do that to encourage you to run away and call the police, due to you or others getting hurt and just... its complicated and the logic is like call of duty.

Here this will make you feel better:

I completely agree with the your opinion. Here in the UK if someone breaks in to your house you are not allowed to hit them or fight them away, if you do then you will be punished. This is completely wrong as they make the good people seem like the criminals. It is stated that you can only use force if the person that has broke in to your house has a weapon and you feel threatened to be extend of your life being in danger. Also, you are not allowed to use force unless they are in the upstairs of the house. Therefore, if someone breaks in downstairs you can not do anything about it. Ridiculous.
