Today I was driving my car on a windy road and around a corner there was a dog on the road So I slammed the brakes and swerved to avoid hitting the dog and spun out of control and rolled my car twice I was very luck to get up and walk away from it.

So I was wondering have you ever been in a car crash?

I've always thought this quote was unique: "Cars are replaceable, people aren't."

It's good you saved the dogs life, but it could have costed you yours if someone has coming the other way.

For like deer and all the other animals, if you can swerve it and be fine do it, but if you are going to hurt someone or yourself by spinning out, go ahead and hit it.

I am lucky and haven't been in one yet, maybe have come close to one but didn't get hit. My brother has been in 3 car accidents and he's so lucky he's still the same as he was. No brain damage, noting, just a sore back every time and he's good to go the next week.

2 of the car accidents weren't his fault, it was 2 drunk drivers fault, both which he was t-boned by the drunk person running though the light.

Just remember this quote "Cars are replaceable, people aren't"

Fortunately I never have and hope to never be in one.

I did almost when I was learning to drive I was pulling out of a really awkward junction and a car came out of nowhere luckily my instructor slammed on the brakes as it was a dual control car I was learning in.

Had my full licence for almost 2 years now.

I've been a car accident, not as bad as yours but bad enough to "write off the car".

Basically I were in a Audi RS3 (brother driving) zooming down at night on a empty extremely wet road road doing about 60-70mph and then the traffic lights had turned orange-red, my brother thought he could make it past the traffic lights. But traffic lights turned red 2-3sec later as soon as we were near the traffic lights another vehicle was travelling across us as it was "green" for them. My brother slammed on his breaks which reduced his speed to about 45-40mph, the Audi just slid on the road and hit the side-back end of the other vehicle which was a "BMW" unfortunately. The Audi kept on sliding after hitting the "BMW" and then bounced on to a kerb and bounced off the kerb on to a little wall.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but the Audi front end was totally gone BUT "repairable".

The bad part was "my brother was not insured, which he thought he was".

I heard a news story a while back where some lady stopped in the left lane of a highway to help a family of ducks get off the highway. might have seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Then a few seconds later, a guy and his daughter on their motorcycle slammed into the back of her car and both died because they didn't know the car was stopped.

In some situations, you have to run over the animals.

OT:

Luckily both of my newer cars that I have had haven't been in any car accidents at all. I have been rear ended a few times in my older car, but nothing to serious.

I got hit by a car, but not in a crash. I was walking home from school on the path and I got hit by a car but I am kinda heavy and he was only going like 30. So I didn't get that badly hurt, just cuts and bruises. but yeah..

The only thing i can think of is me and my dad were on a bridge, and a car clipped us in the rain and we spun out of control into the side of the bridge. This was when i was very little though. I just came out with a bruised patellar and a broken carpal.
