Not necceseraly, there are cheating lobbies that a user gets put in for a certain amount of time and or rockstar can just remove the users money that they have.

I've been banned previously for money glitches and never received a derank or lose of money, I've been checking up from time to time on the social club to see if I have. If I did, Oh well these are the risks of modding.

When I modded money and ranks they reset me to what I was before I modded the game. So not that bad of a punishment. Worth the risk if you ask me.
