So I'm currently in the process of building a PC, primarily for gaming and a little bit of graphic design on the side, and I am on a very tight budget.
I've been looking very extensively at each and every part for the past couple weeks and I've narrowed it down to something quite solid, aside from the graphics card.
I'm conflicted between the Geforce GTX 760 with other lower end components, or the AMD R7 260x with more high end components.
The 760 is demonstrably higher in price than the R7 260x.
My question is, with all sorts of new innovations being brought forth by AMD, for example their new API, is the extra graphical power really worth the extra money. I've seen testaments from both sides, some say a hefty graphics card is far more useful and worth the extra money than maybe a higher end processor or more RAM.
So, once again, what is all of you guys' opinion, go for the extra graphic capabilities, or invest in a better processor?

If you want the best of both, get either the R7 265 or the R9 270.

It's better to balance your build evenly. CPU and GPU should be the most expensive components in your build, obviously. You don't want to spend a whole lot more on your GPU than the rest of your components, but you also don't want to skimp on your GPU to allow more of your budget go towards your CPU and RAM etc.
