Just a quick heads up, I'm do not expect you to do this and this topic is for educational purposes only.
I've heard that you can get DLC for some games, where it comes with the game of the year edition or special editions, for free. Games such as Mafia 2 and Skyrim both have DLC which does not have to be bought from the Xbox Live store but can be downloaded, without being checked, off the disc. I have not done this and I do not expect you to do this but this is apparently a method to get some DLC without receiving a ban from Xbox Live or the game servers. Heads up, this next part may sound weird. How you may ask! Well I've not researched it a lot so far but it is something to do with DRM. Because the DLC is on the disc to be installed from, it is DRM-Free which basically means there is almost certain chance you will not be banned if using this specific DLC with a game but I may be wrong. Like I said, this is for educational purposes only and I do not support piracy, I am just informing you.
I have read through the rules very carefully to make sure it does not go against TheTechGames Community Rules. However, some Mods may want to take this topic down but Section 9.1 states

Although we would all like to post and leech off of shareware and illegal files such as an exploit, we can't. NOBODY is allowed to post any links or upload any files that are meant to be purchased or have copyrights attached to them saying the file(s) cannot be distributed freely. If we see any posts or chat discussions pertaining to the distribution of illegal software and/or files, that content will be removed as soon as possible and the user will receive a ban.
I am not posting anything about the files, I am only spreading information I have found elsewhere as I am sure that some people would like to learn about this sort of thing

I've heard about this, but it's iffy. You have a slight chance of getting banned. And mind you shady characters will say its safe only to trick people into getting banned. But if someone wants to risk a ban to evade a $5 dlc, the equivalent of my lunch money back in elementary school, then by all means. If you can starve for a day, there's your dlc with no ban. That's just my opinion.

Technically, it's just installing the DLC from a USB instead of the disc. Personally, I see little risk but that doesn't mean the risk isn't there

There is DRM Free DLC content for games such as Borderlands and the first two Mass Effects as well as I have just read up on this

Seems interesting but is it worth risking? Most dlc is only cheap anyway.
