So I just got a phone call claiming to be from someone from Windows. He told me that he has detected hackers on my computer through his servers.
He told me to switch on my pc and type something along the lines of e echo something in the start bar. I asked why I should do this and he said sarcastically "so you don't want my help".
I asked him what the hackers were trying to do, he just said "trying to hack you" :facepalm:
I probably know more about computers than he does by the sound of it haha.
Just though I'd share this.

Something similar has happened to me before,
It was a guy who was saying that I was being hacked and had to allow him to have access on my computer so he could fix it.
I kept laughing and leading him on.

That's what i did. I just kept acting like an idiot. "What's the start button".
After I told him I was doing Cisco CCNA he literally just said "you can hang up now". Hahaha

I had a run in with these type of people a couple years back. Long story short after messing with him and recording it for YouTube at the time after around 2 hours he gave up, cussed me out and then hung up on me screaming lol. Oddly enough, I haven't had a phone call similar to that one in years now. I assume I got taken off all of the calling lists

I always love it when i get these calls i just mess with them so much and they eventually get mad and hang up.

I think it was OwnagePranks who recorded one of these calls!

Surely some kind of action could be taken against people like this?
Like call up Microsoft and give them the number of the person that -
tried to hack you? Shameful scammers, hate them.

I mean you could do that but why ruin the fun the only people i see that would fall for this is senior citizens but even then half of the people that call you can barely be understood so most people would just hang up on them.
