So I just got a new hdtv / flat screen and I was setting up my xbox and I don't have my hdmi cord currently so I have to use the old av cable cord I plugged everything into place (red on red, blue on blue, etc) and for some reason when I turn the xbox on and tv and put the tv to the HDMI 1 channel it is just a black screen saying no video signal!

If you actually fix this solution I will give 2$ paypal ( all I have left)

PayPal: joelmy***@yahoo.com ( I don't want to disclose that information to the public only via pm once we have worked out this problem)

Maybe even some +rep

Correct me if i am wrong, but that wouldn't be in the HDMI source then. It will be in something like AV or what not. You tried checking every source?

I believe those are the "Component Cables", so instead of putting your tv on hdmi try Component=Comp for short

now that you say that I switched it to video cause I don't have a component option only video I switched it to that and I hear the xbox sound effects and there's a blue line across the screen that says no video signal, which is what I was seeing before but before I didn't hear the xbox volume.

You should just use the "Red, Yellow, & White" cords for now until you get your hdmi cord

there is no red white yellow input on the tv. Just the blue green red.

What you need to do is select the correct video input, it's not HDMI. Then on your AV cable (the side connected to the xbox) there should be a switch flip it to HD.
