I know the other day I asked about a computer build Now I have managed to stop my PC from destroying everything (turned out to be a motherboard issue) so I got a replacement VII Hero, now I am just upgrading my case and replacing my GTX 760 that got fried, so I would like to know your guys opinion, I have another GTX 760 (got for my birthday as my other one got burned out) now but its really not cutting it for me, so I am debating whether to get a GTX 780 Ti and use my GTX 760 as a Physx card then later on swap out my 760 for another 780 Ti then sli them or whether to ditch Nvidia completely and get a R9 295x2 (4k really doesnt interest me at the moment) any help would be appreciated and as for the budget well I got either option covered Cheers (this is the case im getting [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

Something's killing your parts and it may be the PSU. What model is yours?

PhysX is something only a few games use and I would not suggest bothering with it. If 4k doesn't interest you, QHD or Surround/Eyefinity should because it's arguably a waste to use ONE 780 Ti with a 60 Hz 1080p monitor. If you have a 760 and don't want to deal with selling it, getting a second 760 gets you the best result for the lowest price. If you want a better single card for 1080p at 60 Hz, the most I'd suggest is a 290.

Its not killing anything now I cleared the cmos and flashed the bios with a new update and the problems gone away oh and really stupid question but would a i7-4790k bottleneck any of these cards? and I have a RM750 main reason I want a ultra powerful card is because 1. its really future proof (can just chuck another 780ti and sli them, especially when games get to much for one card to handle) and 2. I may end up getting a 4k 3d monitor when they arrive but at the moment there isn't one (I don't think) and the reason I was going to use the GTX 760 for PhysX was so I don't have the fact that I sold a birthday present on my conscious haha

I strongly doubt the motherboard was the issue, then. Bad software configurations should not kill cards.

There's also no such thing as "future proof" because no matter how much money you spend, you won't keep up with the industry. It's better to spend half as much and upgrade sooner.

Don't get your hopes up for 3D on 4K. The controllers and connections have only just been able to reach 60 Hz and it will be a few years at least before Displayport 1.3 comes around. It will require new controllers on both ends.

I know that dude but a 780 Ti is more likely to perform better than a 760, and thats why I said im not really interested in 4K yet it does nothing for me, I would prefer solid framerate on a 1080p than only just playable frame rates on 4K and I messed up on that last post, I got a replacement motherboard then once I rebuilt my PC I flashed the BIOS and cleared the CMOS (just incase) and now everythings working smoothly like before the issues also whats your opinion of the case I linked in my original post

I think it's too big for what it is, but it's nice. If you're spending that much on a case, I'd suggest the Phanteks Enthoo Pro or NZXT H440 instead.

Haven't used my cd drive for years, unplugged the power from it because of that. It's honestly just a waste of 15
