Go with the car. It'll be better in the long run.

Buy a decent PC, and a OK car. Rather then dedicating all your money to 1 thing

Whichever stops you spamming the PC sections. I've already seen 8 other topics from you in the PC section, all for a single build which you might not even buy. Either make a topic asking for help and keep to it, or don't bother. You don't have to make multiple topics for one subject, especially when you're throwing around ideas of multiple different builds and changing your mind every 5 minutes.

Anyway, if I had $1700, I'd try to get a nice, reliable car for as close to $850 as possible and spend the remainder of my money on a PC.

Im just gonna say this, I looked forward to getting my own car, I was all pumped to start driving. 2 Weeks later I told my parents I Hate driving. Im going to tell you now, IF I were you I would get a PC. When you go to college trust me their is not much use for a car. Most schools offer transportation, Theres to much traffic, Theres no were to park, ETC... (I drive a Enduro Dual Sport instead of a Car) Personally I hate driving and try to avoid it as much as possible. + Almost all the trucks I bought during high school (I bought 3) for under 1,700$ all had issues (One that cost 1,200$ had so many issues I gave up and sits in the back yard of my house), so if you can find a car for under 1700 with not to many issues buy it, But other than that if you have 2 years of school before college left get the PC.

I would recommend getting yourself a car if you're going to be living at home but your college is a fair distance away. It would be no use to stay at college and never use the car. If you are wanting a computer really badly though I would recommend getting a $900 or so build, there's no need to spend over $1500 on a PC.

Get a car can offer so much more into the future unless you plan for a career in computing
