I would get a better CPU, that one isn't going to be very good. No matter what you're doing.

I would get a better CPU, a 8350 or 8320 both 8-core and will last longer and be more usable in the future over a dual core CPU, over kill on the PSU though, you do not need a 750w PSU for a 200w max build, unless you are planning to put a high end GPU in the future.

So much better than I am, (Listen to AMD, he's right!~)

OP what do you plan to do with the system? Either way the motherboard is too expensive for that processor, you shouldnt spend that much on a HDD and the power supply is way overkill.

You could do so much more with 385. Spending so much on a motherboard compared to the CPU is stupid. Go with a cheaper motherboard to upgrade CPU. 750W PSU in a build that doesn't even require 200W of power is a bad move. No case or GPU. Would probably be better to go with 4GB RAM on such a tight budget.

You could also get a 1TB HDD for £20 less than the one in your original build;

Lol AMD CPU are terrible hell no, ok for cheap builds

Thats CPU can do a lot this is a fully upgrade able build that cpu is 1150 port and that board will run the broadwell i7 when they come out

should I got nvidia 760/770 or radeon alternative

Will upgrade it to a 780/780 ti around Christmas or alternative to a 780/780 ti

If those are the only parts you need then here are my recommendations. Its a cheaper board, as you won't need to spend more if you want to overclock, the drive is cheaper and the power supply is better. If you weren't planning on dual graphics then you won't need that wattage.

AMD's CPUs are fantastic. They offer so much for such a low cost. The only issue with AMD's FX series is how little upgrade choices you have. Intel's higher end CPU's are better than AMD's, granted. However, for a budget build an AMD CPU is usually a better option. Take my word for it, that CPU can not do a lot. I have a similar CPU and I hate it, as soon as my new build is done, I will burn my Pentium, it sucks. Yes, a Z97 chipset motherboard will be compatible with Broadwell but as far as we're aware so will the H97 chipset which can be had for less than the price of the mobo in your build. If you plan to upgrade GPU at Christmas anyway, then your best option would be an R9 270/R9 280 for the mean time.

But the G3258 is unlocked and its good practice for overclocking before getting an i5 or i7. Plus its super pro tier
