Right now I'm just thinking about doing this and I want some answers on what I need. First off, I need a device that can record pretty much every console. I don't have a good quality PC at the moment, so I don't really need anything that records PC (I'm sure I could record on PC itself anyways). But I would like a device that can record older and newer consoles if possible. Do you guys know of any fair prices devices?

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to even do this, but I figure I'd get some info on it now just in case I do get into it. I don't even know if I'll be entertaining enough for a lets play, so we'll see whenever I get to it.

Thanks for any info you guys provide.

Right now I'm just in the idea stages. I don't even have a second person yet to team up on this. I'm probably going to see if my good friend would like to do it, but for now I'm just looking into it and getting a list of things I must do before I even start.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into both.

I like the AverMedia, but a lot of people prefer the Elgato because of how easy it is.

You are also going to need some sort of microphone to record your voice for when you are playing, you can get a desk mic that run you around 10 pounds, another hoice would be a turtle beach like the X12 or the X32, and then you have the high end of the line you can get a real microphone like the Blue Yeti, if you want to hear how it sounds you can click on the video below, if you have any questions please feel free to personal message me and i will answer them as soon as i can. And if you like the content you can subscribe to me on YouTube if you wish have a great day

The Elgato is probably the best thing you can use for recording. It doesn't really take a lot out of your computer and the only thing you really need is a good computer for rendering. I have a 3 year old Vaio and it works 100%.

Here's the elgato quality disregard the audio.
