I am building a very basic starter computer to run games like Runescape at high settings with ease.

This is what I have come up with need to know whether it will be any good and will run at the highest settings.

What's your budget? The stuff you have right now is awful. If you give me a budget I can give you a far better build.

6 cores is unnecessary for gaming, you only get that, if you are just wanting to burn extra money you have (which is a bad idea. Instead go with a 4 core, 4 cores is just enough to play most games, I would go with the AMD phenom II X4, it's very cheap, and you can get a lot of performance out of it. Also to play games like runescape, really you only need 4GB of ram, if your recording 8-16GB Far as the GPU, I would go with the Raedon HD 5770 it has 1GB of DDR5 ram which should do you just fine, all of that would cost around 234.08 its a very basic rig, switching from console to PC, or beginning (your first) PC.
My setup:
AMD phenom II X4, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD, Raedon HD 5770 1GB, 600 Watt PSU. Runs battlefield 3 on Ultra really smooth.

If we were talking Intel than this would be correct, but its not, the CPU is as powerful as something like a i3. The fx 6300 is the way to go on a budget. If he's going to be gaming 8 gigs of ram is close to essential 4 is minimum.

Regarding your build op, from what I can tell the GPU will reallylet your build down. What's your budget I'll try and make you a better build.
