I've been working online off and on for a few years now. I do freelance writing for blogs, forums, sites etc, even YouTube comments which has been doing good for me as of late. It doesn't pay that well, but if you can get a decent amount of sales, it does pay quite good. I also work on a site as a forum moderator and I help with getting interest for it. That's extra money right there.

The best question is, what are you good at doing? I would suggest being a freelance writer as that's pretty decent.

I worked at Fiverr for a long time as a freelance writer. It's where you can do things for $5. (Fiver gets $1 you get $4.) I realize that doesn't sound like much, but if you can get a gig (what jobs are called) to get a ton of orders, your account will get more privileges. Right now I'm a level 2 seller, so I can offer up extra options for extra prices, up to $40 extra.

There's also other freelance sites like Elance and odesk, but I've never used them.

I would just skip the survey sites, they don't tend to generate much profit and you need to lie to get into most of them.

I hope I've helped out a bit here.
