I decided to add this before adding more content to go ahead and state, I will no add spoilers that will ruin the games or its story. I will also not be adding the story to any of the game sections unless requested or I finsih everything else I was working on. Currently each sections will feature: A Review of the game(Will have info on the story | Each will be created by me), System requirements for the game, Common Issues experienced, Fixes for issues, Mods to Improve upon gameplay, (Will add user submitted videos If requested or sent footage of gameplay by its creator), and Details of Creatures, NPCS, and factions In there Series! So I ask that you leave some feedback on what you think and what I should add to this thread. Thank you and Have a Nice Day, Sincerely DlCE!

I've always wanted to do something like this for fallout, but never had the time. Now since I'm bored out of my mind I decided hey this would be the perfect time to start working on this. But my main reason for this is I LOVE FALLOUT! It's the game that got me started on gaming and Its been with me ever since I was little. But using this thread I want to get more people active on this part of the forums and to increase the overall interest of people in fallout. I believe that the Fallout Series is amazing and everyone should know/experience the enjoyment and entertainment they can bring. This thread will cover all Fallouts including ones that where cancelled.(I will not discuss rumored fallout games only confirmed/cancelled games) I will be updating this thread constantly and I will also discuss mods to improve each of the games, I will also provide assistance with errors or bugs found within games.

Fallout is a Post-Apocalyptic Simulator/Role Playing Game that is an representation of 1950s culture (yet it is more modernized). The series takes place after the "Great War" which occurred on October 23rd, 2077 and only lasted 2 hours. The war was fought between all countries with nuclear weaponry and ended up destroying the earth and creating a baron wasteland. Those who survived did so in great underground Vaults (Hmm wonder how many people are going to catch that reference) Throughout the series the player is taken to many locations such as The West Coast, Mid-West, Southwest/West Coast, and The East Coast. Throughout these journeys the player is tasked with one central goal (running parallel with many other secondary goals) ranging from Finding a Water chip to saving your father. Fallout is and will always be America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulations.

In the year 2161, nearing the 100th anniversary of the great war, radiation has caused many abominations to spawn within the wasteland. Well we are going to get up close and personal with them and get to know them! *Beware some of these may be scary*

The "West Coast" Super Mutant:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This big nasty creature is found throughout the West Coast area and Mid-west Wastelands. They are mutated humans created by Richard Grey (The Master) using the FEV Virus. They where apart of The Masters plan FOR TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION! Note: These creatures range from being as dumb as Children(Mostly Fanboys) to the Average human, Intelligence wise of Course. It is also safe to note they are very Very Strong and dangerous creatures. Fight with care.

The Radscorpion:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This UGLY ABOMINATION OF GODS WORK! is the Radscorpion. The Radscorpion mutated from the emperor scorpion, Which just so happen to be a popular animal of choice in the Fallout Universe. There is a huge number of Radscoprion sub-species which I will not get into at this moment. Note: These creatures are extremely fast and venomous (Not meant to be played with), oh did I mention They are extremely Gigantic. Some people among the wasteland have reported radscorpions with the ability to speak and even play chess.

Teh Brahmin:

This tasty piece of meat is known as the Brahmin. The majority of them are domesticated, domestication of them started after the Great War to provide a source of Meat, Milk, and transportation. The brahmin is the mutated version of the cow but with new and improved features!
-Now with 2 indpendent heads
-Featuring 8 Whole Stomachs
-And for the Lady Brahmin, The males now come with
4 Testicles

Note: It has been stated by the people of the waste that certain infected brahmin "Mad Brahmin" have the ability to explode as a form of an suicidal attack. Approach Wild Brahmin With Extreme CAUTION!

Synopsis:

You've just unearthed the classic post-apocalyptic role-playing game that revitalized the entire CRPG genre. The Fallout SPECIAL system allows drastically different types of characters, meaningful decisions and development that puts you in complete control. Explore the devastated ruins of a golden age civilization.

Story:

The Protagonist in this game is a citizen of a Nuclear Fallout Shelter also known as a vault. and throughout this and all other fallout games he/she is to be known to players as a Vault Dweller. Our story of Fallout: A post Nuclear Role Playing Game begins in Southern California In Vault 13. Which is to be known in this game as the home of our Hero in this game. To begin this adventure you are asked by the Vault 13 Overseer to go out into the wasteland and find a replacement water chip for vault 13. To those who never played fallout a water chip is basically what keep water clean and fresh in these vaults. But you are given 150 days to find this water chip or you will lose the game!. but during the game there are ways in which you can extend this time period so you can continuing try and attempt to find the water chip and the overseer also Gives you "your very own Pipboy 2000!". But at most the play can earn up to 500 days or if drastic measures are taken 13 years can be given to our hero to save the day! if you fail Mutants will raid the vault causing a cut scene to occur which sadly means you have lost the game. But If you sucssefully return with the water chip youll be given a new task. To destroy the mutant army of "The Master" who threatens the existince of humanity with a F.E.V or a "Forced Evolutionary Device". The player must attempt to destory the base housing the mutants to Halt the invasion of the mutants. Now there are 2 endings to this game but these will not be disclosed upon yall as it will ruin the game. But to those of you who have played fallout 3. one of these endings will correspond with a secret fallout 3 quest . But to learn these endings you must beat the game :wat: and like All other fallout games endings are dependent on KARMA! ;)

Gameplay:

The gameplay in my eyes is just plain out awesome! The best time to play this game are in the afternoon or at night when your bored and cant sleep. the gameplay will give you countless hours of fun interactive gameplay like all other fallout games. Gameplay will probably be the best for those who loved fallout as this game explains many of the mysteries in fallout 3 Example: The FEV Virus and water chips. and especially the Returning to vault 101 quest comes from a quest on this game . Fallout Single player gameplay is probably the best ive ever seen and i would recommend it to anybody i ran into. this game will keep you entertained for hours as long as you find ways to extend your period of time to complete the main story line. Then end gameplay will be a shocker to most people who dont ruin it for them selves. another + about the gameplay is "How you play is how it becomes" which basically means as you play the game adapts to you and your karma ;). and also if you can complete the complicating task. The gameplay for Fallout: A post nuclear role-playing game is at most time very complicating even if you know what your doing.

Graphics:

you must rember that this game is from 1997 so the ghrapics arnt like the ones we have in current games today. But as far as this game goes i would say these are the best ghrapics ive seen in a game from this time period. now like most rpg games the ghrapics can start glitching and make your playing experince sucked. but that is beacuse this is a old game and newer computers have problems running it. when i say that i mean if your using the windows 98 game on your windows 7 computer. now if you want the ghrapics to be fine and not glitching all the time with a new computer then i would recommend purchasing this game off of steam. now to wrap this ghrapics section up. i would have to say the ghrapics could be better but they are excellent for a old game like this and they are actually better than some games we have today. =)

Controls:

The controls are not advanced and also not simple. in this game you use the mouse to control what your character does. so about 75-85% of the controls and features are used or accesed with the mouse and not the keyboard like some games to day. the controls will take some getting use to at first but once you learn them youll become a pro. Well this wraps up the control part of this review. mainly because this game is controlled by clicking buttons and other material through a interface at the bottom of the screen or click the ground to walk.

Interesting Facts for Fallout:

A Post nuclear role playing game: There are several easter eggs in the game, to many to name to be exact but to name a few you got a dialouge from one of the characters saying "Let's play Global Thermo-Nuclear War!", which makes a refference to a alltime favorite movie for me. the 1983 Film WarGames. There is also a chrashed alien space ship marked: property of area 51. with 2 dead aliens near it. in which one of the contains a photo of elvis presly :wat: . Now there are alot more intersting facts about this game but you can all figure those out but let me give you one more fact. This game was built upon a 3 million dollar budget. so to those of you out there who know how much games cost to make there you go. this game to me had a decent sized budget.

Release Date: September 30, 1998
Developers: InterPlay Entertainment/Black Isle Studios
Publishers: InterPlay Entertainment Edusoft Bethesda Softworks(as of 2014 Legally Interplay is no longer the publisher)
Series: Fallout
Engine: Fallout Engine
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS.
Genre: RPG, Open-World( Or Known as today as free roam)
Modes: Single Player
Rating: ESRB M (Mature) USK: 16 (Cut) ELSPA: 15+ OFLC(NZ): R16 OFLC (Au): M

Synopsis:

Fallout 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPG'ing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future. It's been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands. (Courtesy of Steam)

Story:

It's 2241, In a small community known as a Arroyo, There is a destructive drout(The Worst of its history) occurring. The Village elder seeks out the "Chosen one" Who is a direct descendant of the vault dweller from the original fallout. The character is then charged with the task of finding the G.E.C.K, Which is a device developed at vault tech to recreate the communities destroyed by the Nuclear Apocalypse. You are then given your VERY OWN PIPBOY 2000(It's handheld)!A vault 13 canteen and a spear. The player then has to venture out in to the harsh wasteland to search for vault 13 with is the G.E.C.K.S last known location. Once you decide to return to your village you comeback to discover the enclave had captured your village. The player must then go and find a way to save the villagers of the community. After completing various "things" the player discovers an old abandoned oil rig and engages the auto pilot to lead him to the enclaves offshore oil rig. The Player later learns of the enclaves secret plan using the FEV(Forced Evolutionary Virus) on certain groups of people. You also learn about how the enclave had developed the virus to become airborne and only attack living things with Mutated DNA. With all of these "Mutants" gone the encalve could regain control over the united states once more.

Gameplay:

The gameplay in fallout 2 in my opinion was not as good as the original. But anyways, Fallout 2 brings back the S.P.E.C.I.A.L Character creation system and adds many core elements to the game such as Organized crime, prostitution and slavery. The players action the he partakes in throughout the game will determine what parts of the story or opportunities he will get to experience. Like the original fallout you will be able to move freely about the world unless you are entered into a combat situation in which you will have to fight or flee. During combat you are assigned a number of action points that you may use to attack, move, check inventory, reload, etc... Once all actions points have been used or your turn is over it is then time for the enemy to make their moves. Now if somehow you manage to not get harmed during a turn, you will have all of your magical fancy pancy dandy Action points restored to you. This is extremely good considering they are necessary to fight. Now if your are injured in any way shape or form you will have less AP points until you are healed/treated for your injuries. After completing combat(Winning of course) and completing task you will be granted the xp you need to level up and acquire new and better perks. Along side fighting and questing you can also interact with other NPCS, Communities, or Organizations to aid them or you know ruin them. Like the original fallout it is all up to you!

Graphics:

The graphics this game are amazing in my opinion for being created in 1998. But in other words considering this was made almost 16 years ago they are pretty decent. But their not a huge improvement of the original game considering there not even a year apart from each other (which i wouldn't expect since this game was released exactly 1 year after the first one). How ever I do see a major improvement to the layout and design of the environment and its inhabitants. I feel as if they spent alot more time improving the plants, buildings, and clutter. I also love the detail that has gone into the interior of buildings, I feel as if they went into even more detail than ever before. They are alot cleaner and appealing in my opinion. I do Not like the base ground of the wasteland, I understand its suppose to be a wasteland but the ground textures appear to be completely ripped from the original and I feel the attempted very little to improve on it. If you plan to play this on a new pc you can expect many visual errors, Incorrect coloring, and tearing. These can all be fixed with patches made by those friendly NMA folks. But its up to you how these graphics compare to todays game(they do not compare). But let me just show you for your selves

Controls:

The controls for fallout are basically identical to those of its predecessor. Its a simple point and click type interface, where you point and click to move, access your interface, and of course interact with the environment. You'll select and use items using the mouse and do the majority of the working using it. With a little tinkering you can easily assign hotkeys to help minimize the amount of worked needed to be done by the mouse. The controls in my opinion are simple but would appear alien to users not accustomed to the original fallouts. But with some determination to learn you can easily master the controls for fallout 2. I myself grew up with this game and therefore am already accustom to it. But the controls do sometimes handle kinda sloppy in my opinion and dosent react the way I would like it to. But then again I am playing on a newer computer than I was orignaly playing it.

Personal feedback:

Personally This game was amazing. A let down in some cases to the original, But Strived in other cases. I loved the new elements combined with the original Playstyle, Graphics and setting. In my opinon i liked this game slightly more but thats because I felt like there was more to do. But in the end its basically the first fallout with new story, items, and features. I was however very dissapointed in how much shorter story wise this game felt like compared to the original fallout. It felt alot shorter than I felt like it should. But then again it felt longer trying to complete everything than it did it the first game. So I dont quite know what to say. Whether or not its better is completely up to you, just like the decisions you make within the game itself.

Story Line Rating: 7/10
Gameplay: 8.5/10
Ghrapics: 7.3/10
Controls: 8.5/10
Overall Rating: 7.9/10

Fallout 3 was the start of a new era for the series of fallout. Fallout 3 marked the end of black isle studios, and marked the beginning of the end of the relationship between fallout and its original creator. In 2009 Interplay would lose the entire series of fallout to Bethesda in a lawsuit, ending any and all associations between fallout and interplay.( Interplay later lost the rights to even their original fallouts) But Fallout 3 would mark the beginning of a new and great adventure for the series, Bringing it into the mainstream lime-light with famous actors such as Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and Liam Neeson (Taken), The series would later sell 20x the amount of its original 2 predecessors (Reported not confirmed, Fallout 3 did sell 4.7 million copies at launch ($300 Million)), and go on to win game of the year (2008). Fallout 3 is the game that revived the series and brought it the necessary attention it needed.

Fallout 3 was also the first game in the series to introduce Achievements (As it did release on a new set of consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3)

Firstly I would like to apologize to you DICE. I called you out on stealing work but in turn it was stolen from you. The plagurizm checker never lies I thought, and that was wrong. I am happy we found out she was stealing reviews, but not happy about the things I said. I apologize man.

Anyways I wanted to contribute something so I didnt feel like a total ass. I have a list of mods I use and a description for the mods. This is for Fallout: Newvegas from another thread I made. But deserves to be here in the ultimate Fallout thread.

Mods:

A World of Pain
(Adds so many new locations it kills me. Be sure to start this on a new game though, or you could corrupt the on going save you have)

More Monsters
(Adds many not really lore friendly monsters, but when paired with say Silent Hill mod it is very fun and adds an interesting scare factor)

Project Nevada
(A complete overhaul of Newvegas. Enhancing the game entirely and really improving the general gameplay. It also adds a bit of a challenge. But not too much to ruin the game)

Unlimited Companions
(A must for people who want to explore with a gang or army of warriors)

Deathclaw baby companion
(Adds a deathclaw to the game, and you can feed and take care of it until it becomes an adult. A very powerful adult)

Rogue sentry bot companion
(Adds a very powerful (Somewhat dumb) sentry bot companion to the game and actually has you build him back up to normal standards. You have to find his arms using another one of the authors mods and craft them. Search it up for more details. I named my bot Roggy)

EVE (Visual mod)
(A must for those who would like more enhanced death scenes and better kills entirely. Energy weapons FTW)

Enclave Commander
(Command up to 3 squads of 8 soldiers. You can pick each class of the soldiers. You can also command air strikes, orbital strikes. BE THE COMMANDER)

New Vegas stutter remover
(Fixes so many problems. It aint the FPS, its the stutters)

New Vegas Bounties 1 & 2
(Go hunting for those outlaws in the wastes)

NVAC Anti Crash
(Stops the game from crashing up to 89% of the time)

Electro City
(Makes the game more vibrant and lights have more of a meaning)

Wasteland flora overhaul
(Less orange in the game)

Fellout NV
(Makes game very dark at night (Should be paired with Electro City) and also fixes more orange problems)

Enhanced Blood textures
(Speaks for itself)

CONELRAD radio
Enclave Radio
Freedom Radio

Classic Fallout Weapons

Roleplayers Alternate Start
(Start in a different position than the generic good springs spawn)

Flashlight Mod
(Scary is no longer so scary)

New Bison Hotel and Lucky Casino
(Become the Casino owner and have a very fun roleplaying time)

All of these mods really enhanced how much fun I was having, and playing on Very Hard really made the game satisfying and difficult. Try these mods out. All can be found on the Newvegas Nexus.

ALL DLC IS USED

I wish to help in anyway I can DICE. Hit me up whenever because the Fallout series is my favorite.

Ill use your reply, thanks again. When you orignially posted on my wall, i though it was because i was going to mention mods in this thread. boy was i wrong. (Btw i accidentally may of posted and got your rant post removed on accident.) But Ill use your mod list. At the moment though im going to list mods that Fix bugs/erros in the game or make it run better. I may add it in at a later date with all mods.
