I want to have a great gaming computer so I can play games like GTA 5 or BFH on ultra settings (but also I do 3D animation in blender).

Could someone suggest upgrades that I could make to my computer, I am in Britain so parts that are only available in the US would be too expensive/impossible to ship.

Specs from Speccy in spoiler.

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 2.90GHz

Motherboard: Advent MS-7728

RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz

Graphics: 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7850 RoyalKing PokerSeries (ATI AIB)

Sound Card: ASUS Xonar DGX Audio Device

You have an 1155 i5, so I'd say keep that. You didn't post your power supply, but if you want a gaming upgrade, just get a better graphics card. That may require a PSU upgrade.

My PSU is 500w, it most likely needs upgrading anyway. What do you think of the Motherboard... I have no idea whether it is good or bad.

The motherboard looks like it has a PCIe x16 slot, which is what you need for a graphics card so it should be fine.

What is the model number of your PSU? A good 500w unit should be enough for almost any single-GPU card.
