I have been hearing more and more they can be gifted.
I don't have them to gift, but I do know that a modded Unicorn Car would probably be giftable without penalty for the same reasons You cannot share them in a club garage. (NPC & UNICORNS) I also been informed recently that a player was given a ban from gifting unregistered Unicorns and NPC's, the only thing I can gather is he gifted to an undercover enforcer, or accidentally tried send a real Unicorn not realizing he had it.
Unicorns are gifts from T10 devs, so they do have a registration with T10, what dev to what console id. A modded Unicorn would have no registration, so not only are they unaware you have it, they can't track it.
But since FM4/FH the game itself recognizes it as a Unregistered Vehicle, thus you get the message.
"UNKNOWN NETWORK ERROR, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER"

yh use a jtag that's how i get all my traffic/unicorn and no bumper modded rim cars

There is a program that I use. Its called Anarchy by 360Haven. Free sign up. It has Forza Horizon, FM4, and FM3 plus LOTS of other editors. Check it out its awesome.

You can use it to put Traffic cars onto your save and unicorn cars.

you can't use that tool for unicorn or traffic cars it corrupts your save I've tryed it

i don't see how unless theres a new version of it but didnt work for me and there was even a note saying don't use the unicorns coz it will corupt
